At McHenry Smile Center we pride ourselves on providing safe, effective, and affordable treatment for every member of the family. We understand that the financial side of dental treatment can become confusing at times. To make things easier for you, we have fostered working relationships with the top insurance companies. We also offer discount programs and payment systems for qualifying patients. Above all else, we want you to have a clear understanding of your financial and insurance options, as well as your patient responsibilities.
Insurance and Patient out of pocket expenses
Dental insurance can play a significant role in your treatment fees. This is why it's important to properly fill out your new patient paperwork with any insurance information. Submitting your paperwork in advance allows us to prepare your benefit materials before you receive treatment. This includes any anticipated fees and out of pocket expenses dictated by your insurance policy. We are happy to work with your insurance provider and answer any questions you may have in regards to your policy.
When working with insurance, it is important to note that you are solely responsible for all non-covered out of pocket expenses. Our team will submit the dental claim electronically at your visit and payment is due at time services are rendered.
Appointments and Consultations
You will likely be scheduled for 1 of 3 types of appointments for your first visit.
1. |
You have an acute issue - pain in a specific area of your mouth, lost a filling, broke a tooth, etc. You will be scheduled for a short appointment where Dr. Michel D. Sturt evaluates that specific tooth or area including an x-ray and determines the necessary treatment and discusses it with you.
|
2. |
You are looking to establish at a new office or haven't seen a dentist in awhile which is also known as your routine dental visit or preventative dental checkup. Dr. Michael D. Sturt will perform a comprehensive exam and review your dental and medical histories. Various types of x-rays may be taken or can be provided from a previous provider if they are considered current. If we notice any potential instances of decay, damage or gum disease, we may recommend additional treatment. Based on the condition of the gums, a preventative, professional cleaning may also be completed. Once we develop an appropriate treatment plan, our front office team will provide you with an estimate of your out of pocket costs and will schedule you for the necessary treatment.

This is an exclusive visit with Dr. Sturt's undivided attention to provide you with detailed treatment options available for your personal health and situation which may require x-rays. |
